Clenched Fists

Here's another nugget from THROUGH THE WILDERNESS OF LONELINESS by Tim Hansel. Speaking of those who are wandering in the wilderness looking for answers he poses makes four (4) very valid points.

Let me pass these along, dear friends!

Hansel writes:

"Some of us are looking so hard for the answer that we can't see the many gifts that surround us. Seeking so hard that we never take time to find.

- It is difficult to receive when your fists are clenched.
- It is impossible to embrace when your arms are crossed.
- It is difficult to see when your eyes are closed.
- It is hard to discover when your mind is made up.

And a heart that has sealed itself off from giving has unknowingly sealed itself off from the ability to receive love."

Hope you don't think I'm being "preachy" with this post. I'm actually addressing myself more than anyone else.

If we are going to be Christ's hands and arms extended...let's make sure our hands are open, our arms reaching out, our eyes open and our minds transformed by the Word of God.

Be a blessing to others today! WE CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE!

"Therefore, I urge you, brothers (and sisters), in view of God's mercy, to offer your bodies (fists, arms, eyes, minds) as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God - this is your spiritual act of worship. Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is - His good, pleasing and perfect will." Romans 12:1,2 (NIV)
